What we’re saying, basically, is ‘germination not termination’. We’re saying ‘sapling not grappling’. We’re saying ‘nurture not torture’.

Is this a leaf or a tree? Well, that’s up to you to decide. Whichever you go with, it was designed purely from the same font beneath it. Which is loosely lifted from an environmental activism organisation you have probably heard of. Whether you’re into them or not is your choice. I agree. You’re doing a lot of heavy lifting with the decisions for this write up.

Back to the action, this is taken from the radio version of the television show. Back when things were on the radio first (basically any time before the 21st century began). On the programme, Trudy Skye from ‘The Show’ (fictional), broadcast on BBC 2’s DEFII (both real) discusses Treenaissance ’93’s eco-push for more tree plantation, namedropping Annie Lennox, Katie Puckrik and Pamela Stevenson.

Yvonne Boyd also features (one of the few characters to have carried over from wireless to TV). They both get booed off when Yvonne does a Donita Sparks from L7 on Alan. Another early 90s reference you might be interested in avoiding. NSFW, I believe they call it.

Interestingly, the ‘build a tree…’ strapline is taken verbatim from the show and Alan actually says ‘put it on a t shirt’. So here we are.
