Alan Partridge

Price range: £28.00 through £30.00

Bumped into Chris Hinch last night at a social function, said he was v, v interested in sponsoring the weather or some such.

Prior to hitting the big screen in 2013’s ‘Alpha Papa‘ (a film, so unlikely to be covered within these pages), Alan Partridge takes us around his home county, Norfolk. Or ‘Albion’s Hind Quarters’, as he calls it. In the documentary, we see him chatting to market traders, definitely not nearly drowing at a leisure centre and engaging in a series of passive-aggressive conversations with a Range Rover salesman while out on a test drive.

However, the focus of this one is in his place of work. If you’re already acquainted with the world of Partridge, you will know about his long standing gig as a DJ at various radio stations, and at this point in time he’s still a mainstay at North Norfolk Digital, naturally dishing out both the best mix of music as well as hard hitting discussion about Europe, conspiracy theories and what happens if you just eat crisps. There’s a brief clip in the show where he relays to Alex (off screen, presumably a producer) that Hinchcliffe Loft Conversions might be interested in sponsoring the weather on the station.

As you would expect, there aren’t really any high street-ish representations of such a thing, so I’ve had to broaden the horizons somewhat. This one is based on the logo of a well known organisation that I would call an estate agent but when searched for throws back both ‘property portal’ and ‘real estate’. So it appears Google is a bit full of itself and likes American things now.

Their logo features an entire house, where as my HLC one contains merely the loft itself, complete with a couple of skylights.
