Turville Industries

This is about the Turville jobs. I’ve got some buddies on the board and I hear they are defaulting on their loans. They’ve got six months, tops. I would have told you last night, but you had Ray’s cock in your ear.

First up, we’ll address who Turville Industries are and what they do. That will be quick because we don’t know and we don’t know. As a plot device, they’re merely an organisation offering 7,000 new jobs to the wonderful people of Michigan. Though as you might surmise from the above quote, it’s actually all a bit pointless as they’re pretty much fucked in half a year.

But what *could* they be? Well, considering we’re in Detroit, we’re going to be entirely predictable and say that they manufacture cars. I did contemplate them possibly creating genre-defining soul music from the 1960s but the ‘industries’ element didn’t sit right. Anyway, there’s a lot to choose from, considering we’re in Motor City: Ford, Chevrolet, Chrysler. It’s not any of them, rather these lads.

The other element here is EmployCon. That logo does appear in the show, but I couldn’t feasibly *just* replicate that when Turville was staring me in the face. I’ve got it as ‘EmployCon Michigan’ here, on the assumption that it’s a national thing, duplicated across many states. Or maybe just the Midwest.

Nice to see legend Sally Phillips in this one, though. Albeit playing former Finnish Prime Minister Minna Häkkinen. I wonder where they got the inspiration for the name from?!
